Three weeks to go and the cast of “Putting it Together” is feverishly working on the ins an out of their production. Made up of only five people, the cast has over 30 songs to learn. Each of those songs has a story to tell, guiding the audience on the particulars of dating, marriage and everything that happens in between. The show is funny, poignant and tells a great narrative through song. Production dates are October 26, 27, 28 and November 2, 3 at the Flickinger Center.

Signs, Signs, Signs…

Producer Pary Bennett and cast member Loren Jackson put up the billboards for AMT’s fall production of “Putting It Together”. Keep an eye out all over town for the brightly painted signs! They are visible on First Street, Tenth Street and Indian Wells. Smaller versions of the signs will be in front of Alamo Optical on Tenth Street and another on the corner of Ninth Street and White Sands Boulevard. With one month out from opening night, tis the season to be advertising!

The art of making art…

Cast Members Ronnie Brockett and Loren Jackson practice the number “Everybody Ought to Have a Maid” from AMT’s fall production of “Putting it Together”. Though the song is originally from “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, the piece is used in new context for this show.  Many others songs are used in a similar way, including “Pretty Women” from “Sweeney Todd” and “Being Alive” from “Company”. Mark your calendars for the dates, October 26, 27, 28 & November 2, 3 at the Flickinger Center. You won’t want to miss out!

Painting some Signage!

Cast member Joni Castello spends some time painting the billboards for the AMT fall production of “Putting it Together”. Painting signs is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to producing a show! If you have an interest in the technical aspects of theater, AMT would like to encourage you to come out and help.  Please leave a note in the comment section below if you have a desire to get involved.
